The festive season is here, and Christmas time is in full effect! Below are the opening and closing times of the grocery stores operating on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Opening and Closing Times of Grocery Stores on Christmas Eve
Walmart
While the company didn’t say anything about their opening hours changing on Christmas Eve, Walmart did note that they will close at 6 p.m. local time.
Kroger
Kroger’s operating hours will vary across their divisions. However, the company confirmed that most of its stores will be open during regular hours.
Such stores include Dillons, Foods Co, Baker’s, City Market, QFC, Ralphs, Ruler, Smith’s Food and Drug, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, Gerbes, Jay C Food Store, Kroger Mariano’s, Metro Market, Pay-Less Super Markets, Pick’n Save, and King Soopers. They also pointed out that their pharmacies will close at 4 p.m.
Costco
According to information shared on the company’s website, Costco warehouses will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Target
Although there are currently no opening times listed, Target will be open and will close at 8 p.m., according to the company’s news release.
Whole Foods
Whole Foods stores will be open, but they are scheduled to close at 7 p.m. local time.
Trader Joe’s
According to USA Today, Trader Joe’s informed USA Today that they will be open and will close at 5 p.m. local time.
Aldi
Similar to Kroger, Aldi stores will be open for a limited number of hours, which will vary by location. Thus, shoppers are encouraged to check with their local stores for specific holiday hours.
Publix
The company confirmed that its stores will be operational and, like Whole Foods, will close at 7 p.m.
Wegmans
Wegmans stores will be operational and will close at 6 p.m. local time, according to the company.
Food Lion
Food Lion stores will be open and will close at 6 p.m. ET. However, on the company’s website, they state that their stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Albertsons
Last but not least, Albertsons will be operational until 6 p.m. Additionally, shoppers can use the company’s store locator for specific operational hours and details for each store.
Walmart
In a move to prioritize their employees and give them a well-deserved break to spend time with family, Walmart stores across the nation will be closed on Christmas. The company announced the news via a Facebook post showing a heartwarming photo of a few of their employees.
Kroger
According to their website, Kroger’s stores will be closed.
Costco
Like most stores, Costco will be closed. Other holidays on which the stores will be closed include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Easter Sunday.
Target
All Target stores will be closed on December 25.
