Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt Announce Engagement, Celebrate with Family and Faith

Fox News Channel hosts Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt have taken a major step in their relationship, as Hannity proposed to Earhardt over Christmas at their home church. The engagement marks a new chapter for the couple, who share a deep bond rooted in their faith.

The couple revealed that their children fully support their union and “couldn’t be happier” for them. “We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” Hannity and Earhardt said in a joint statement.

Faith has been central to their relationship, and the couple chose their home church as the “perfect place” for the proposal. Following the engagement, they celebrated the moment with their minister, according to Fox News.

Despite their preference for privacy, Hannity and Earhardt have successfully navigated their long-distance relationship, splitting time between New York, where Earhardt co-hosts FOX & Friends, and Florida, where Hannity hosts his primetime show, Hannity. Both have long-term contracts with FOX News Media, reflecting their mutual respect for each other’s careers.

Former President Donald Trump reacted to the engagement, stating, “There will be no finer couple.”

Both Hannity and Earhardt were previously married and maintain amicable relationships with their ex-spouses. “Everyone is supportive of each other,” the couple shared, noting that they had informed their families about the engagement ahead of time. Earhardt also shares a seamless co-parenting relationship with her former husband, focused on raising their daughter.

Their Careers at FOX News

Hannity has been a cornerstone of Fox News since its inception in 1996, making history as the longest-running cable news host with over 15 years of dominance in his timeslot. Beyond his primetime show, Hannity reaches millions of listeners through his nationally syndicated radio program and recently launched a FOX Nation show, Sean, featuring long-form interviews. Earlier this year, he hosted the fifth annual FOX Nation Patriot Awards, honoring everyday heroes.

Earhardt, who joined Fox News in 2007, has been co-hosting the popular morning show FOX & Friends since 2016. The show has maintained its No. 1 ranking for over 20 years. An accomplished author, Earhardt has published four New York Times bestsellers, including three No. 1 children’s books, and hosts Ainsley’s Bible Study on FOX Nation. Earlier this year, she received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the University of South Carolina for her achievements in broadcast journalism and authorship.

Neil Cavuto’s Departure

Meanwhile, Fox News veteran Neil Cavuto recently announced his departure after nearly three decades at the network. Cavuto, who hosted Your World, declined a new contract and opted to step away at the end of December.

Mediaite reported that Cavuto’s decision reflects broader industry trends, where networks are adjusting to new economic realities, prompting some star journalists to decline reduced salary offers. Despite its strong ratings and multi-platform success, even Fox News has felt the effects of these changes.

Cavuto’s exit follows a trend of high-profile departures across the cable news industry, underscoring the shifting landscape of television journalism.
